Have you scanned for Spyware?  When did this start?  AOL is still in business?

I am running Windows XP on Dell Dimension 2350. AOL is my provider. I have received 2 messages that I would appreciate being explained to me if possible, please.

1--Authentication service error; subsystem=0; error= 1
2--Type-Exception Report
Description- The server encountered an internal error () that prevented from fulfilling this request
I have also experienced trying to X something out and it just sits there for a while. My screen has been freezing up on me.
Would appreciate help.

Try a System Restore to a point in time before yesterday, say Tuesday.  Scan for spyware.
