Network Card Drivers

Hey

Got a dimension 2400, and had to replace a hard drive it was a total loss, and now I'm back nicley into the windows and having issues installing drivers for the network card. putting my Service tag through the support system it says I have a broadcom 4401 integrated nic card, soulds cool, and to boot the drivers are there for me to install, however when I try to point the update drivers procedure to the directory with the correct inf files it says "the specified location does not contain information about your hardware"  I've updated all the other hardware in this manner so I dont think I'm missing anything.

Subsequently if I just run the setup file that is extracted from the drivers page, it just goes through some of the instalation process, then just stops, all windows just close with no mention of a successfull install or anything.

Is there a possiblilty that the drivers are incorrect?

Did you install the chipset drivers as the first drivers installed after reinstallation of Windows? Without the chipset drivers, Windows will not be able to recognize or install drivers for many other devices.   Read the Driver Installation FAQ at the top of this forum!!!!!!!
