hello everybody!!!!

i have a dell notebook inspiron 300m... it has windows xp (the basic one)

and i cant turn on my network card on.... i have tried everything, i have downloded lots of drivers in the dell page, but nothing!!!! and i connect my ethernet cable so i can connet to my dsl and nothing...

please i need help!!!!!!!

Have you checked to see if it turned off in the BIOS?  What does the Device Manager show?

well i dont know if its turned off in the BIOS...  the thing is.. the laptop got a thing while i was in the internet, when i tried to turn it on, a blue screen came up... and then the laptop wasnt the same again... a friend of my boyfriend tried to fix it, and he did, but the device manager says that it needs lots of drivers, and i tried to download them in the dell page but they dont help me......
