Network conncted but no internet (help needed)

Question

I just factory reset my laptop. I got it yesterday. BTW I have a dell studio 1537. The internet worked fine when I was staying at a friend's house. It had connection and I was surfing the net. When I came back home. Problem started. It couldn't find my router. It found everyone in the street's router except for mine! I called my cousin, he kind of repaired it and now I have connection with my router. It says that I have connection all bars are up. But when I click on internet explorer or firefox it doesn't open. Page cannot be displayed etc. So I did a diagnose with IE and it told me: 'There might be a problem with your DNS server.' So I went online to try and find answers to fix this but there aren't any that really fixes it and most are unanswered. So I have seen that you need to open cmd. I did it and I did the following: ping google.com Ping request could not find host google.com. Please check the name and try again. Then I tried sing the IP of google. Ping: 216.239.51.99 Pinging 216.239.51.99 with 32 bytes of data: Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Ping statistics for 216.239.51.99: Packts: Sent = 4, received = 0, lost 4 (100%loss) Also I tried this: I let DHCP do the diagnose. It says troubleshooting was unable to automatically fix all of the issues found. Problems found: Your DNS server might be unavailable. Detected ! the only options I have is to explore additional options and close the troubleshooter. I went into more info: Issues found: Your DNS server might be unavailable. Contact your network administrator or Internet Service Provider. (the other laptops, all work fine except mine) Your DNS server might be unavailable. Windows can't find the well-known host 'www.microsoft.com'using DNS. Detection Details: Network Diagnostics and Logs. My laptop isn't even 1 year old! I need help please. I have school work to do and everything is online. Right now I am lending my couisn's pc. But I need my lapto'p's internet to start working ASAP.

Sorry, forgot to add. I use windows 7. They just reinstalled windows 7 again on it.

How to Install Drivers in Microsoft® Windows® on Dell Systems If you cannot find Windows 7 drivers, then use the Vista(or XP) drivers that match your opearting system, Vista 32-bit for Windows 7 32-bit or Vista 64-bit for Windows and install the drivers in the Compatibility mode.

You can easily fix this error - Your DNS Server Might Be Unavailable There are several ways to deal with this error - Like by flushing DNS, resetting TCP/IP. I have provided a link above, Check it out for various methods with a brief description. I hope it would be helpful to you!
