Network Controller Drivers

Greetings....

I have a Latitude D610 that I've recently reinstalled Windows XP.  I don't have the resource cd to install Dell drivers so I've been trying to download them.  Recently I've installed a Belkin wireless card and its driver.  Upon inserting the card, I get a "Network Controller" yellow question mark under "Other Devices".  I've also tried using other wireless cards but all of them won't work b/c of the "Network Controller" drivers.  Does anyone know where I can find the drivers for this device?

Thanks in advance,

Did you install the chipset drivers as the first drivers installed after reinstallation of Windows? Without the chipset drivers, Windows will not be able to recognize or install drivers for many other devices.

All drivers for your system can be found at:

See FAQ at the top of this forum on the correct order to install the drivers:

There is only one chipset driver.  What do you mean you installed all 3?

Under Chipset, there were three downloads....
  1. Broadcom Driver
  2. Intel - Driver
  3. Texas Intrument - Driver

#3 fixed another problem I was having, but #1 nor #2 solved the Network Controller Issue.

If there is a possiblity that you attempted to install the network adapter driver before the chipset drivers were loaded, then it could be the problem.

It very well could have been possible.  So, I've uninstalled the network controller drivers, reinstall, and problem still exist.  At this point I think I will try and find a resource disk from dell.

thanks for your help!!!
