Network Controller Problems on Dimension 4600
I have a Dimension 4600 and am trying to get my belkin N1 USB adaptor to work. It is very finicky and Belkin support helped me see that in device manager the network controller is bad. It has a yello question mark and yellow exclamation mark over it. It indicates that no driver is installed.
I cannot figure out which one to download, I think the Intel 10/100.
Will a diagnostic utility help me?
note - since I cannot get onto the internet any other way than wirelessly with this desktop any work has to be downloaded onto my laptop via a flash drive or cd than put onto the desktop.
thanks

Thank you. The Belkin unit is listed as a network adapter and it says the driver is fine. I cannot get any details on what exactly the network controller is.
I assume you mean the Intel 10/100 driver?

is it the inbuilt network card or the belkin N1 USB adapter???
if its in built network card that has the ! , then intel DRIVER is the one that u need to download and run
link is:

dont forget to uninstall the ! mark controller first and then install the driver -
