You don't tell us the model of the wireless card you installed.   The network controller is the wireless card.  Are you sure it is physically installed correctly in the MiniPCI slot?  Is the MiniPCI slot enabled in the BIOS?

Sorry!

Model is WM3B2200BG(pb free; REV A01; Mfg Date: 7/11/05)
MOW
Dell P/N is OC9063.
I purchased a used one.
----------------------------------------------------------

Yes, it is installed correctly w/ pin alignment according to Service Mannual.
I connected antenna cales as well; white cable, to Main and black one, to Aux.

It is appeard that Wireless Status is enabled, and Wireless is on in Set Up screen.

Installer says "could not find software to install."
In Device Manager, it says under other device tab, "the driver is not installed(Code 28)", but Network adaper looks fine.

The system recognized the hardware when booting right after installed the card, but not anymore now.

Whould you tell me how I can check if it is on in the BIOS?

I appreciate your help to break through the problem.

Thanks.

Regards.

Peter.

It looks like you have the Intel 2200 b/g wireless card.  You need to install Intel Drivers for this, not Dell drivers.

The documentation availbable on the Dell Tech Support is not detailed enough for me to read and tell you how to make sure the MiniPCI slot is enabled.  You will have to get in there and look around.  To do this, restart the computer and tap the F2 key several times to get into the BIOS setup program.

Thanks Steve.
It works greatly with Intel Pro/wireless2200 B/G Driver installed as you indicated to do.

I appreciate your all efforts to assist me.
