Network Folder Empty after Reinstalling Windows XP - Dimension 8250

Question

Hello,   I hope the forum members here can help.  I have just reinstalled windows XP (SP1) in my Dimension 8250.  After the installation was complete, the network folder was empty.  I looked in Device Manager and there is no reference to Network or Network Adapters.  I also tried to load drivers from the Utilility CD that came with the PC and still the network folder is empty.   I'm not even sure this CD contains the correct drivers to reinstate the network.   Please, can someone offer advice on what I need to do to get my network to show up and working.   Thanks.

See the following for information on the correct order of installation of the drivers   http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/document?journalid=4ED81717490911DC84EB0DC67E2C6D57&docid=3690A8CC21FAF290E040A68F5B281A12   Pay particular attention to the fact that the chipset drivers must be installed before even attempting to install other devices drivers.
