Network info with XP
Help! I can't seem to connect to a network hub with XP. I have 3 computers hooked up to a network HUB which is inturn hooked up to a broadnband connection to the internet. With XP I select the "network hub" option and run the network wizard and create a disk. I then run this disk on the other XP system. No errors- but my dell computer does not find the network. The third computer is a Win2000 professional -laptop, which I really have no idea of how to hook to this network hub. My major desire is to have the three computers share a printer, and be able to share some files.
Thanks!!!

You will need some sort of DHCP action taking place either thru a router or ICS and the prefernace would be to use a router. Your Hub can not "split" your incoming signal for three machines to use.

With Windows 98 I was able to hook up two computers to a network hub and share the printer and files as well as having both computers reach the internet throught the hub which was hooked to my cable modem. Can't I do the same thing with Win XP? If so, how? If not, why did they eliminate that possibility?
Thank you for your help!!!
