Network passwords

Ok I bought a dell dimension it came installed with win 2000 professional. I need to change a few things.

1] I need to get rid of the logon prompt before the system boots up.

2] I am trying to connect to the Dell computer, and it is asking me for a network password, never had one, so do not know it.

How do I change and or remove these problems.
