Network problem - more than one device performing NAT

Question

Ok I have 3 PCs on the wired network. Machine 1 is running Windows 7. Machine 2 is running Windows Vista SP2. Machine 3 is running Windows XP SP3. I have a Linksys WRT160N router and a Motorola/Netopia 3000 DSL modem. The problem is everyday I have to restart Machine 1 running W7 in order for the other machines to access it. I am using the same setup that I used before purchasing the Windows 7 machine and previously had no problems. Bear with me as I'm no networking expert, but the DSL modem appears to be a router as well. When I run the network troubleshooter in Windows 7 it tells me that more than one device is performing network address translation (NAT). I assume this NAT is why Machine 1 is having trouble, but I don't know how to correct the problem. On Microsoft's site it is suggested that if the modem and router both perform NAT to set the router to bridge mode. How do I know if they both perform NAT? If they do how do I set the router to bridge mode? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your replies.

If your DSL modem is modem and a router you have two choices: (1) port forwarding or (2) Bridge mode
