Most home routers com pre-configured to be readily accessible thru any broadband connection.  The only thing lacking is security in the form of changing the default password on the router and adding WPA security for a wireless router.

Your problem could be nothing more than a very weak signal or a poor DSL connection.

So what kind of connection do you have and how is it configured?  This is going no where fast.

Do other machines using this connection have the same problem?
