Does it in fact, state what I said, in my previous post, in your Device Manager? If yes, then you'll need to install the drivers for your D-Link card on to your hard drive.
If, the drivers are not installed in any of your network adapters. Then, it will not say network adapters but, ethernet controller or PC controller. It will also have yellow question or exclamation marks next to the device.
If you show "Ethernet Controller" with a yellow question or exclamation mark next to it, in your Device Manager? Then the driver was not, or only partially installed! That's what it means...
You'll need to uninstall the software and try and re-install it.
I now have a network adapters tab, but under it is "BCM5701 Gigabit Ethernet", which is not my card. I might have caused that by searching for drivers manually, and I chose the Network Adapters thing, thinking that was it, and I got a warning that it might damage my computer, but I did it anyway. The BCM thing has a yellow exclamation mark on it.
I don't know how.
It did not come with a disc, I bought it used.
Although, when I downloaded the card with the network thing, it said it was signed by broadcom, but it says that it does not work properly...

If it doesn't work, because I think I already tried, please try to come up with another solution, if there is one.

You mentioned in a previous post that you had another card that also, did not work? Can you elaborate on the circumstances of that one, too?

Okay, I'm confused here? Is your computer new, or used?
