Network will not send or recive
I have a Dell Demension 3000 desktop. I had a wirless DSL network, and all of a sudden whenever I try to acess the internet an error message says "server not found". I have contacted the network provider, I have pinged and all packages were successful. I have rebooted my computer, I have done eveything humanly possible to fix this problem. I have it setup to a wirless network, and it has a strong signal, and is connected, but when I look at the properties, it is not sending or recieving information. My network card is fine, my network provider is fine. But, when I ping ANY IP address it does not recognize it. I'm out of options, can anyone help?:smileysad:

Wow, it sounds like you have a really non-standard setup, but it is still not clear. Please explain, step by step, wire by wire how all of these devices are connected together. It sounds like you have also changed all kinds of settings, so getting this back the way its supposed to be will be difficult. Remember, I am on the other end of the internet and cannot see how things are hooked together or what changes you made. If I were there, I could probably fix your problem in about 5 minutes, but it's going to be awfully difficult over the internet. One simple question that must be answered before we even start, however, is - can your modem make a connection by an ethernet cable or is it one of the modems that only connect to something eles by USB?
