Network wizard help
My main computer is a dimension 8300 running Wxp. I want to network it with one inspiron 2500 running W2k professional. I successfully set up a wireless g router and notebook adaptor and both pcs are now sharing an internet connection. The main 'puter plus cable modem are wired. The inspiron is in another room. I began to run Network Setup Wizard from the main computer. When I got to the last step requiring a network setup disk to be made or running the WXP disk on the second pc, i discovered neither option is good for me. I do not have a floppy drive on the 8300 and the XP disk alerted me that network setup wizard is not supported on W2K. It says instructions for configuring a network can be found in the help files for W2K. I can't find them. I also don't have the original W2k professional cd for the inspiron so if that's needed, I'm out of luck. So what I can do next? I want to share mainly music files, internet favorites and be able to check my outlook email between the the two pcs. Thank you

The wizard is often very dumb and often mangles the connection. Try manually setting up the network by looking at the tutorials at www.homenethelp.com.
