Network Wizard

INSPIRON 5150, LINKSYS ETHERFAST WIRELESS ROUTER MODEL BEFW11S4, DELL TRUE MOBILE 1300

I can get on the web and browse when I have the pc connected to the router by cable, but when I try to use wireless I fail. Two questions to start with.

1. I use the Network Setup Wizard to configure my home network. The Wizard tells me that the Dell True Mobile 1300 is disconnected or unplugged. I know the computer has one. The solid green icon appears in the tray and the device manager tells me its working properly.
2. Also, when I look at the Wireless Network Connection Properties and hit refresh the bubble appears over the network name icon. I hit OK to save and the window closes. However, if I re-open the window the bubble has disappeared and it is x-ed out.
