Networked systems (both XP) restricting access
I have a new XPS 720 and an old dimension 3000 connected through a router. I have run the network setup wizard on both machines, allowed sharing, and put them in the same workgroup. When I go to "My network places" on the XPS and select "view workgroup computers," both systems appear in the window, but if i try to access the Dimension, I get the error,
"\\(my computer) is not accessible, you might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
The network path was not found"
If I try to "view workgroup computers" from the Dimension, the error reads,
"(my workgroup) is not accessible, you might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available."
As far as I know, I'm the administrator of both servers, and I've contacted myself to find out if I have access permissions, and I seem to be pretty cool with it. are there any suggestions, or is there any more info that i need to post?

Make sure any third party firewalls (Norton, McAffee, Zone Alarm, etc.) are configured to allow local network access.

I had turned off the firewalls before, which I forgot to mention in my first post, but your reply prompted me to revisit the issue and I found yet another firewall that was still enabled.
Thank you very much.
