Networking (peer to peer network) two DELL LAPTOP via USB port
Hi,
I am trying to network (peer to peer network) two DELL Laptops one running Windows 2000 and the other Windows ME via USB ports. What are the steps involved in the configuration...??? Would I be able to share harddisks, CD_ROM Drives etc... between laptops. Please note I do not have ethernet ports on either LAPTOP. Is there anything such as cross-over USB cable.....??? Would I need to use such a USB cable...??? Your help will be highly appreciated.

No I can't help. I have never Nor would I ever use USB to network anything to anything. So I would not know where to start. Sorry.
But if I'm not mistaken the only way to do this USB to USB is with 2 USB to Ethernet adapters. Talk about cost, WOW.

Hi,
Unfortunately both laptops do not have on-board ethernet ports and if possible I do not want to invest in a ethernet PCMCIA. I would like to use the USB ports if possible. Could you help please. Thanks
