Networking win2k to win 95
Hello:
Having trouble connecting win95 machine to win2k machine over our lan.
Win2k machine is visable in Network Neighborhood.
When we click on win2k machine, we receive a "Password required"
pop up window.
The pop up window shows the following path: \\NC1\lPC$
NC1 is the name of the win2k machine.
Where does the "lPC$" originate?
The win95 machine is "Bill2", and is entered in the win2k machine user group.
When we enter the Bill2 password into the pop up window,
the response is 'password incorrect'.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

ge723,
A $ share on Win2K is an administrator share and not available to a non-administrator. On NC1, use Windows Explorer to share C: giving it the name C, which will be picked by the OS by default. Also enable the guest account on NC1.
