Question

I  have one computer that is hooked to a router with an adapter Dell True mobile 1180. I want to know if I can hook another computer to this system and what  do I need to get it going.  I will be putting the other computer in a building located right next to my house.

You can either run a Cat5e cable and wire it or you can get a wireless card for it and connect wirelessly, as long as the distance is not great or there is metal between the two locations (like metal pole barn construction).

When I get the wireless  card  does it have to be the same  kind of  card  as I have on this computer.

Having the same brand as the router is more important to minimize any compatability issues.
