Network/speed problem

Question

My computer is running slow and it makes my internet slow. i CHECK on my mcfaee security cernter and no virus was there. When I play a video, not dvd, from Windows media player, its slow and does not play smoothly. Also my fan is really really loud. I ran a diagnositcs check and everything is fine unil I did the fan test. When I did that test, it was performing it and it completly shut down the computer afterwards. Any suggestions?

sounds like the system is overheating a little. the fan isnt cooling the cpu enough. i would clean the fans with air in a can. make sure computer is off. then blow air in there. clean out the dirt,dust. off the fan. if u can get to the cpu i would shoot air in there also to clean it. . also what i would do is you have something running in the background, hit ctrl alt del close everything except systray and explorer. then run scandisk. then run defrag. make sure you stop your screen saver from running
