New Dell, Wireless networking problems
For some reason or another, I'm getting a message stating i'm getting a clear 100% signal, for connection to wireless router, but it's not working. Not connecting to the internet.
It's a Microsoft Wireless-B Router (802.11b/WiFi) as the base station, and a netgear Wireless USB Dapter MA111.
We do have 2 computers that are connected to the Router. The Main Computer, and a "satellite" in another room.
Could this be a problem?
Any help would be Much appreciated!!!

Are both computers trying to connect through a wireless connection? Are the TCP/IP properties on the comuter that can't connect set to obtain an IP address automatically? Which version of Windows is running on the computer that can't connect?

3 computers total, all running XP or XP Pro. One computer (the main one) is hard wired to the cable modem, the other two are connected wireless to the router.
Only seems to let one wireless connection seems to work.
The 2 satellites aren't connecting, without disconnecting one of them first.

Why do you have one computer hard wired to the modem? Are you using Internet Connection Sharing on this computer? With a router, you should be connecting the modem to the router, one computer to one of the LAN ports on the router and the other computers to the router through wireless. If you are running Internet Connection Sharing on the wired computer, then you have two DHCP servers (one on the router and one from Internet Connection Sharing) which can cause all kinds of problems. The router eliminates the need for Internet Connection Sharing software.
