New Precision M90 and network problems

Hi all,
I've unpacked my new Dell Precision M90 with xp pro ans sp2 but when i've tryed to connect to the network i recive the "limited connectivity" error.
It happens both on lan network and on wireless (them both have dhcp server)

I've tryed a different lan network with static ip and i don't get the limited connectivity error and i can ping internet location and intranet pc but i can't browse the web

I'm sure all network i've tested are working since i've tryed also with my old laptop and i've also tryed to update network driver with the latest version but nothing has changed.

Can anyone help me pls?

thank you
Andrea

You really need to start over and explain exactly what type of netwrok you have configured.  Type of internet connection , etc.

You have not mentioned all the steps that you have taken. Check that the firewall is not enabled to eliminate this as the cause. If you are connection wirelessly you may have to enter your routers ip address to allow this to act as a gateway. If you can connect to the router and ping it but can get no further this sounds like it may be a firewall issue.

It may be a DNS setting, can you enter the ip address in the address bar and connect to the internet this way?

The day after the post i've simply formatted the pc and reinstalled everithing and now all is fine.

Before formatting i've tryed all I know: , turning off firewall, disabling unused network card/adapter, updating driver/software/firmware and so on...

btw now it's ok, so it does not matter anymore :)
