New to networking

Question

Hi everyone,   I just purchased a 2200 notebook. I also  have a Dell Dim 2350. Currently they both share an internet connection through a D-link router (DI-524) which then goes into a cable modem. The 2350 has an ethernnet cable connected to the router and the notebook connects to the router through wireless internal card. My question is -Do I need to also buy a Wireless network adapter(usb) to plug into the 2350 to share files bask and forth with the notebook? Do I need an Access point?   Both computers share the internet fine but I want to be able to share files between them as well. Any help would be appreciated.   Thanks

You need nothing else to share files. You do, however, need to enable file and printer sharing on both computers, designate drives and/or folders as shared resources, and configure all firewalls to allow local network traffic.
