New to the wireless world

Today, I bought a Linksys wireless G broadband router so that we could go wireless at home now that my daughter bought a new notebook.  Everything seemed  to be going great until I discovered that my Dimension desktop did not have an Ethernet connection.  Now what do I do?

Okay. get specific.  You mean if does not an ethernet port or wireless card?

There is no Ethernet port nor is there a wireless card.  The computer is almost 4 years old and came with two USB ports only.  Can I just buy and install an ethernet card?  (Thanks for responding.)

Absolutely, get a brand name (D-Link, Netgear or Linksys) and the biggest fear you will have will be opening the case.  While you are at it, now would be a great time to get a can of compressed air and clean out the inside of that case.

Thank you, jmwills.  Sounds like good advice.  I'll do as you recommend.  Thanks again.
