yes, the network connection icon is there. I checked it and also tried to do a repair and makes no difference. here is what I can and cannot do>

 

AOL= Yes including internet if I sign on through AOL.

E-MAIL= Yes to POP3's no to IMAP connections and hotmail.

INTERNET= Can only access certian sites (maybe 3 of 100 of my favorites)

Windows= cannot even report a problem because it can't connect to sent the info.

I Use a cable connection with a direct connection to the tower and a wireless network to my laptop and that works.

All I can do is start a new user account from scratch to get internet access through the internet explorer and that goes bad over the desktop, favorites and e-mail. Hours later the problem starts.

I did a network repair and yesterday's user account now has internet access but not 100% in speed.

 

My original admin user still has no internet access.

 

Is this network repair for only one user and not others?

 

I cannot figure this out.
