Newest 1490 Driver

I just updated my Dell Latitude D420 with the newest Dell Wireless 1490 Dual-Band WLAN MiniCard Drivers from dell.com (I am not sure on the version number but it was released on 3/23/2007, so fairly recently.. Right after I updated the driver everything seemed to work fine for the time being. But one day after I installed I had multiple dropped connections, IP conflicts, ect... Some symptons were: The wireless would be connected but I could not reach my router page, or internet for that matter, it seemed as if the card was frozen. To fix this I had to run a repair. Also sometimes on connecting I would receive "Limited connection" messages, sometimes setting a static IP fixed this problem. I recently rolled back my driver and it works perfectly again, I am not sure what was wrong with this driver - but it sure did not work for me. Once again I have a Dell Latitude D420 (it's equipped with the 1490 dual band card) Any suggestions? - I do always like running the latest drivers for my equipment. Thanks
