NIC problems?
Are there any diagnostic tools to tell if a NIC is bad. I am having problems with my internet connection coming to a hault. Errors like it can't find the web page, any web page. Downloading of email won't work at that time either. I have a wireless ISP and they have changed out the radio. They said that if that didn't help that it may be the NIC. Any ideas?

I actually have the same question. I purchased my PC about a month ago, and have been using the web just fine. My PC is free of spyware and viruses, and yet suddenly my internet connection went from over 4000 kbps to about 19 kbps speed on the web. That is a MAJOR change. My ISP checked the line, and everything is fine so it is something local. I noticed that the NIC card lights are orange and yellow instead of green. I need to test the NIC Card as well. I did a system restore, and I have rolled back the drivers. Still nothing. Of course I have been holding for over 30 minutes for a DELL support technician! :smileymad: Let me know if you find something and I will do the same.
Good Luck!
