No active network adapter found

Hi,
    I've been having an issue with my computer's network adapter for about a week now, Tried so many thing's none of them seem to work. Guess it's time to explain in my own post what i'm doing.

in the windows task manager under networking tab its all gray and says No Active Network Adapters Found.

I went to my Hardware-Device manager - Network adapters;

The only one listed is called : Broadcom Netxtreme 57xx Gigabit controller #2

So far i've tried

*Uninstalling TCP/IP protocol
*Uninstalling my network adapter
*Reinstalling my TCPIP/IPSEC.sys files
*Resetting Modem/Router
*Updating driver to lastest version

Also, When i try running IPCONFIG /all gives me and error saying  An internal error occurred; Unable to query host name.

Same with right clicking my local network connection; Unable to query TCP/IP settings of connection.

Alot of people i have asked how many network adapters are listed they have 2, could it be i'm missing a file/driver?

You need to say what model computer, operating system and what type of connection you have. If you have a wireless card, mention which one. Has the Broadcom card or wireless ever worked?

Which program did you run? All of those popup antivirus scans are spyware. I hope you didn't use one of those. Try using System Restore to go back to the day before you used the programs. Considering the age of the laptop it might be time for a new one.
