Please provide more information.  Which version of Windows is running on the computer that can't connect?  Are you connecting by wired ethernet or wireless?   Have you tried power cycling the router (turning it off then turning it back on)?

Ensure you have enabled DHCP setting on router by going to router configuration page, if not it won't assign IP to your computer, and your computer will end up getting 169.x.x.x IP. Also you can try to connect to other ports of router, sometimes the problem can due to faulty router port.

The other method is to configure the IP, netmask, gateway and DNS info on the network adapter manually, then test to ping gateway IP and connect to Internet.

Hi,

I did try yesterday to re-set/ restart the DHCP SERVER  but the options were greyed out, even though i'm logged on as administrator, I'm not sure how to Ping gateway IP so would be grateful for your help.

Kind Regards

Sara.

Something is wrong on your DHCP server, or maybe you id is not the admin id with full admin right. Read the DHCP server documentation to understand more. Also here is how to use ping to troubleshoot network problem article, take a look if you like. You should also try to assign the IP, netmask, gateway and DNS info manually on computer and test it.
