No Local Connection

Hello everyone,

I did a complete recovery of my 4700 because of a Trojan horse virus.  I tried repairing it to no avail so the next best thing was to do a reinstallation.  Now I cannot access the internet as "Other devices" and everything under it has a yellow question mark.  I read that I should install chip drivers, I did  and still have the yellow question marks.  My computer is out of warranty and I was wondering if anyone knows what my next step should be?  I did call SBC DSL they said they can't help me until I get a local connection on my computer.  Any help is appreciated.

After installing the chipset drivers, you need to install the drivers for your ethernet network adapter, video adapter, sound card, and modem.  The chipset drivers make it possible for you to install these other device drivers.

The drivers for the ethernet network adapter that  you need to solve your immediate problem can be found at:

Look under Network and download the drivers for the Intel Pro VE Network Connection.
