wmarshall4016,

Download and install in this exact order...

Dell System Software, v.7.0.2, A02

Intel GM45 Express Chipset Family, v.9.1.1.1023, A00

Realtek RTS5138 Card Reader, v.6.1.7600.30109, A00

Atheros AR8151 Ethernet Controller, AR8152 Ethernet Controller, v.1.0.0.43, A00

Go to Dell Warranty Status enter your service tag, click on original configuration. There it will be listed which wireless adapter you have installed. Then go to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag, selct your operating system, under network, download the drivers for your wireless adapter

Then download and install Dell QuickSet, v.10.6.2, A00

Places to look to see if your Connection is enabled

wmarshall4016,

When you installed the operating system, did you install the Dell System Software(if applicable) and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

Start with the Dell System Software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.

Hey Rick,

Thanks for your reply but I still have another question.  You state that the drivers must be installed in a specific order but I'm not understanding if I need to redo all that has already been done.  Do I need to reinstall the windows again and start new?  Or can I just down load the drivers, as you listed them, and reinstall over what has already been done?

Anyone being able to answer this question for me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks Rick for your assistance.  I reinstalled all the drivers as you had listed but then had to add one more specifically for the wireless card I had installed.  But finally all is up and running well once again.  So again, thanks for your help.
