re-installation or Factory restore?

It was a re-installation because I ran my windows disc and formatted the hard drive then installed a brand new copy.

I'm guessing you did a re-installation of your operating system.
Did you install the desktop/notebook utility and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
