not connected

I have a inspiron 600 laptop which in the last few days I'm not able to connect to the internet.  I have reinstall the two driver (440x10/100 integrated control and intel driver)  that I though would solve the problem and I haven't gotten access to the internet.  I have been trying to get a local connection, the incon for the intel is always green.  The only time I'm able to get access is when I connect the eee cord to the laptop.  Is there anything different I should have done.

thank you

Your message is very unclear.  You say you can connect by ethernet, is that correct?  What are you trying to do?  Are you trying to connect by wireless?  If so, your message really never says that.  Is your wireless network adapter the Intel adapter?  If so, which Intel wireless adapter do you have?  Which version of Windows are you running?

Sorry Steve, I'm using XP and I want to go wireless on my laptop.  Like I mention before if I use the ethernet cord and I'm able to get on the internet but I when I go wireless I'm not able to access the internet.  A few days ago I receive a program from another dell community person "fixwareout", I ran the program and everything worked but I wasn't able ti access the internet after restart.  I have been trying another things to back to wireless but I'm not able to connect.

To help troubleshoot this problem, on the computer with the problem, when you are withing range of the wireless network you want to connect to and are not connected by ethernet, go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Write down the output from this command or select it and save it to a txt file, then copy this output into a reply to this message.
