Optiplex GX270 / SMS 2003 OSD Deployment errors

Hi!!

I am trying to capture / deploy an image using the OSD feature pack in SMS2003, having great troubles with the network card in our GX270's, the SMS error says 'network can't be reached'

I've made sure that the drivers are part of the Win PE image used to capture image, etc.

Are there specific RIS drivers/ has anyone heard of this problem before?

Thanks in advance

Steve

I can now capture the image without error, but the weird thing is when I try to deploy it!!

It looks like an issue with the WinPE image that is used, does anyone have an idea how to update it, without an physical copy of WinPE??

The image capture has not really been an issue, I had to point the disk to the path on the SMS box that contained the drivers for the NIC.

With the GX270, I also had to alter (remove) the NT_X86 line in all of the inf files, which was a pain, but it worked after that.

Now, my main problem is when trying to deploy the image to a dummy client! I get the 'network cannot be reached' error.

This (i think) is due to the WinPE image, I need to update it, but am awaiting a copy from MS, so cannot test further until I recieve the copy of WinPE.
