Other computers can't cnnect to Net through this computer

I have Linksys wireless-B broadband router wired to ethernet connection on Dell 4550 running WIN XP Professional.  Internet connection works great (Bellsouth DSL w/ Wirespeed modem).  When trying to set up a network, the Windows Network Setup Wizard returns the message that "Other computers cannot connect to the Internet through this computer.   In addition to it's Internet connection, this computer must have a connection to your network"

What haven't I done??????

Want to share my DSL connection (and printer) with my portable PC that has a linksys WPC11 wireless network card installed.  Portable PC recognizes that it is connected to a network, but does not "see" any of the folders or devices enabled for sharing on main computer

Why are you trying to use Internet Connection Sharing with a router, or are you?

Is the XP firewall engaged on the machine you want to share?  If so, disable it.

Does the machine trying to connect have internet capability?  Can the main machine see the laptop and share files?

XP firewall was disabled.

I released and renewed (ipconfig/release_all, ipconfig/renew_all) on the WIN 09 laptop.  This solved the problem!!!!!!

THANKS for your help
