Outlook works, but internet browser doesn't

Question

I thought I had this problem solved through my previous question, but it's still there.

On my D620 with Intel 3945, when I come back from hibernation or standby, my internet connection is non-existent, though I can receive messages fine through Outlook. The only way I can solve it is to restart. It makes no difference whether I use the Windows software or the Intel software.

Does anyone have an idea about the cause/solution?

Have you tried doing a repair by right clicking on the 2 little computers in the systray?

Check the Power Management setting for the NIC and uncheck the option to 'Allow this Device to shut Down.....to Conserve Power'

It was already unchecked, but I checked it and then unchecked again. Didn't work.
