PC Won't Recognise Network Card

HI, i have a Dimension 4500 which is about 18months old and when the machine was switched on this morning the PC won't recognise the network card or Audio card, i have tryed a new network card but this didn't help either, the lights on the back of the PC and network card tell me everything should be working properly, but when Windows XP loads up it doesn't see either of them. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did your network card come with an installation disk that may have drivers and software for your network card to operate properly. On the audio, did you go into control panel, uninstall audio card, reboot. Windows should recognise new hardware and will attempt to install audio card. You may have to have your Dell installation disks handy.
