PCI Card Problem

My computer is no longer detecting any wireless networks.

When I open the Network Setup Wizard, it tells me that the PCI Card is disconnected.  How can I reconnect it?

I disabled it, then enabled it again.  It still says that it's disconnected.

It's an Inspiron B130.  It's new.  And the fn-F2 does not work.  There's still a red X on the Wireless Network icon.

When I click to view available wireless networks, it says that windows can't configure the wireless connection.

You don't say which model computer you, which is usually necessary for people to help you with problems.  Assuming it is one that came out in the last 3 years, have you tried using the Fn F2 key combination which toggles the wireless network card on and off with recent computer models?

I don't know that it would help to know this, but this whole problem started when someone tried to "hide" the wireless network so that no one else would be able to pick up the signal. It messed up the router and the wireless card.  I replaced the router, but the wireless card won't detect ANY networks, even ones that I can pick up on another computer.

On a computer with a working connection to the internet, go to the following site and download the latest drivers for your network card:

Copy the downloaded file to a CD-R or other removable device and then copy the file onto the hard drive of the computer that doesn't work.  On that computer go into Device Manager and remove the wireless network adapter.  Reboot, then without letting the New Hardware Wizard run, find the file you downloaded, then run it to reinstall the drivers.  See if that fixes the problem.

In the Network Connections it's listed as:

Wireless Network Connection
Not connected, firewalled
Dell Wireless 1370 WLAN Mini...

There's a red X over the icon.

When I right click it, it gives me the option to DISABLE on the drop down.

If you open Network Connections, how is the wireless network connection listed?  If you right click on it, can you select "Enable" from the drop down menu?
