PCI Ethernet Controller, PCI Input Controller, PCI Multimedia Audio Device, and PCI Network Controller Code 28

Dimension 8200 had to have the hard drive replaced.  Since Seagate's requirements raised the cost of sending it in for a replacement under warranty to about $50, we bought (and installed) a new one at Best Buy for a little more than that amount:  a Western Digital 160gb/go eide.  We reinstalled Windows Me. It is working well except that we can't connect to the internet.  We get a Code 28 every time we try to reinstall the drivers for the items listed under the subject, above.

Can someone help?
