You will have to turn on (Its off by default)File sharing on both computers, Select a folder (I usually select the "Shared Documents" folder)  you want to share on each computer and do a right click and select sharing and security, enable sharing here, you may get a nag screen about "are you sure you know what you are doing" say yes  and then "just enable file sharing" Then go to your windows firewall settings in control panel, Exceptions tab and be sure File and Printer Sharing box is ticked.
