Are all firewalls (including the Windows XP built in firewall and anything form Norton or McAfee) configured to allow local network traffic?

Which version of Norton Internet Security do you have? Do you have a manual? In general, you have to configure the firewall by putting in a range of IP addresses on your local network into the Trusted Zone.
