Print server----HELP
(Newbie at networking) I'm at my wits end. 8400 and E510 "wired" to a US Robotics 8001 router with built-in USB print server. Both puters can access the net and can "share" files, etc. That much is working fine. However, many, many attempts to setup and use the printer (HP 940c) through the print server have been unsuccessful. I have followed the US Robotics step-by-step instructions (going into printer properties in setting up a port---Standard TCP/IP) and nothing has worked. I "think" my problem is related to my "improper" naming of the "printer----IP address and/or port". How can you locate or find the IP address of the printer? Getting nowhere!
Thanks for any suggestions.
