Printer and Desktop

I am new to the whole wireless thing and I was wondering two things.

1) If I want to use wireless only for my laptop, can I still have another router connected to my desktop regularly? Or, can I only have one type of router at a time?

2) Is it possible to make any printer wireless, or do I have to have a certain kind of printer?

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

1) your wireless box will have a few connections that you can hardwire your desktop to.

2) You need to buy a printer that is a networkable printer.   Most printers have a n classification to let you know if it is networkable.  For example the Dell laser 1710 is a standalone printer, but the 1710n is networkable.

You only need one router.  Nearly every wireless router on the market today has 4 ethernet ports that will up to 4 computers to connect to the router by wired ethernet and up to 250 more computers to connect by wireless.

Any printer connected to a computer on your network can be shared across the network so long as the computer it is connected to is powered on.

Every printer made is "networkable".
