Printing!!!!

I am trying to get my Insp.9300 and my Insp 6000 connected up so I can print. I have a desktop that is on a router and these computers are able to pick up the internet from that. However, when I try to set up a printer or add a printer, both computers can not pick up my network...or at least see my printer. Perhaps I'm not explaining myself correctly. I've done everything I thought I was supposed to do.

Which was: Add a network and go all thru those motions.
I tried: Adding a printer. When it searches for a network, it comes up with Microsoft Home Network. My network was named "MSHOME" It doesn't pick that up.

What am I missing here?

if your router is broadcasting your ssid make sure the computers see your router and not someone else. Now to print on a laptop wirelessly do the following

get your ip address from your desktop or which ever computer has the printer connected to. once you have the ip address go to your laptops

click start then run

\\ip address # after the \\

here is an example

make sure all the computers have the hand underneath the printer icon showing that its being sharedin control panel under printers.

once you do the above backslash ip # hit enter key. your printer icon will show up. double click it and install its drivers. thats it. you should be able to print wirelessly around your house or in the yard. good luck

In addition, make sure the firewall or security application on the computer to which the printer is attached (I'm assuming it is attached to a cmputer and not a standalone network printer) has been configured to allow File and Printer Sharing.
