Problem Actiontec MD56ORD MDC Modem for win 98
I have notebook Inspiron 2600 use win xp, but I got some software that only can use un win98, so I reinstall into win98, But I Got Some problem with Actiontec MD56ORD MDC Modem, I downloaded driver from dell file R48881, and driver didn't work. On divice manager modem driver listed, but control panel modem not listed, I tried to reinstall, still didn't work.
Please info me to solve this problem, cause i really need use for win98.

You might want to give the Actiontec HSF (Conexant) modem drivers on the "Windows Update site" a try (if they're still there).
Or you could try the repackaged Win98 drivers that were originally from Windows update (click here).

So, you would need to download two zip file packages and unzip both to the same folder… in order to complete the driver package.
For instance, if you download the “HSF321.zip” and unzip the contents (16 files) to a new folder… the driver would be incomplete until you download the “HSF322.zip” and add it’s contents (13 files) to the “same new folder”. There should be a total of 29 files in that folder before you try to install this driver.
If my explanation above was too confusing or lacking… then try and download the driver from “Windows Update”, instead. Once there, click on “Windows Update Catalog/ Find driver updates for hardware devices/ Modems/ Conexant” and choose one of two Actiontec listings.
