Problem connecting TM1180 to TM2300
Just got a new Dell 4600 with an USB Truemobile 1180 adapter. The adapter is recognized by the system, but I can't locate the network that is operational using a truemobile 2300 router. Two other PC's (laptops) are Wi-Fi connected without any problems. The network is using WPA settings, but can't find the setup on the 4600. Only WEP is available. Downloaded MS patch for WPA but didn't help. The 4600 is running XP Home.
Is it a compatibility issue with Truemobile 1180 and WAP?

The two laptops already on the wireless network are Dell 5150's with TrueMobile 1300 internal cards running with WPA configured. If I understand Cody, I would have to lower the security from WPA to WEP in order to utilize the TrueMobile 1180 on the same network. Or toss out the TrueMobile 1180 and replaced it with a WPA compatible adapter. Anyone has a suggestion as to what adapter to use? Can I exchange the TrueMobile 1180 for another adapter from Dell that will support WPA and work in the Dimension 4600?

Cody,
Could you please post a link to the TrueMobile 1300 USB adapter on the Dell site?
I can't seem to find it on the product list. The only 1300 iI managed to locate is an interanl adapter and not USB.
Thanks in advance.
