But I see no solution in the link. The sharing is the other way around, but more than 4 other computers proof the server is not the problem. Nor the network. The Dell has no problem accessing the shares on that same server either.
Only it's print tasks are listed forever in the job list on the server with the status "Waiting for printer".
What Fire wall or Anti virus software on a Dell could block network printing? And how? I have no idea. I've installed Antivirus Windows Essentials on all laptops and computers. And seems to work just fine.
If you need to uninstall the printer from any of the computers, you may want to run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print jobs in the queue.
Uninstall the printer.
Rsetart your computer.
Then try installing the printer. Some printers that do not have Windows 7 drivers can be installed using the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64-bit. Install the drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode

Jan,
This works both ways.
Allow Printer past Microsoft Essentials
If you using a host computer, then the host computer will need to communicate with the others.
This may help some, Sharing a printer through a wireless network and File and Print Sharing in Vista (Thanks to mombodog), since Windows 7 printer sharing is similar to Windos Vista.
