Problem when more than one user tries to use Explorer

Hi folks,

Has anyone had this problem and cured it?

If one user already has a web page open and a second user tries to use IE or, say "My Computer" a dialogue box appears with the title:
            Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

The text in the box reads:

            Program C\Program files\Windows\Explorer.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

Until the other user is logged off and the dialogue box closed Explorer and other serrvices are unavailable. Don't know if it's relevant but I have an ntl cable connection.

Would much appreciate any help.

HI joe53

Thanks for the link.

There was a solution there. For anyone else who has the problem, it was cured in my case by disabling the McAfee anti-phishing object.

Everything now OK.

Cheers.

Hi everyone,

I have the same problem. I already uninstalled google toolbar, so I think my problem is also Mc Afee. Since I am not used to this antivirus (my computer is new and I always used other softwares) I can't find how to disable this anti-phishing. Can someone please help me?

Thanks,

Tacy
