Problem with 2Wire DSL gateway and Windows 8

Hello,

I just purchased a Dell 660s, and am having problems staying connected to my ATT 2Wire DSL gateway.  I have 3 computers with XP on them, and have never had any issues in the several years I have owned the 2Wire.  But with the new Windows 8 machine, I am connect to the gateway wirelessly, and I will randomly get a message that the gateway cannot get a connection to the internet.  Dell has checked the computer, and the wireless card is functioning correctly, and ATT walked me thru some setting changes on the gateway, but still no dice.

I have posted this issue on the ATT forum, and a couple of other people have mentioned they have the same problem.

I am having a hard enough time adjusting to Windows 8, the constant dropping of the internet connection is making me want to return this thing to Best Buy! 

Anyone have any insight?
